Programs

There are many community programs serving struggling families in the area. By working with these organizations, the bicycles enhance their programs by providing an additional benefit to their patrons.

This distribution method has proven to be an effective method to identify candidates. Currently, we are working with the Covington Storehouse, and we hope to add additional programs soon.

Covington Storehouse

The Covington Storehouse is a foodbank in Covington Wa. They are located behind the Reallife church off Wax road in Covington. They are open to donate food to their clients on Saturdays from 9:00 – 10:00am. Visit their website to learn more about their program.https://www.covingtonstorehouse.org/

Several months ago we began to work with them to gift bicycles to their patrons. The signup sheet currently has approximately 80 kids and adults on it. To date, 31 bicycles have been gifted.

We are at the Storehouse the second Saturday of every month to distribute the bicycles. We plan to continue to be there for the foreseeable future.

Just as a reminder, the recipient of the bicycle must be present to receive their bike, helmet, and lock. It is a critical part of bicycle safety to ensure proper fit of both the bike and the helmet.
